Jessica rolled her eyes at the locker room talk, her arm still around Diego's waist. "The only tossing happening tonight is me tossing your ass out before it's too late for you to get a ride home." That was followed by a quick flip of her finger at the workers, but she turned and grinned at Diego, giving him a peck on the cheek.

"C'mon. Eat and drink. I've been too nervous most of the day to eat much. Now I have an appetite."

All she was feeling through their link was a warm sort of glowing happiness, and that was the whole point of what she'd been doing. To get him something that made him feel like he fit in. Something he wanted. Something theirs.
